Anthology Submission Call - A Terry Pratchett Tribute

Alzheimer's Research UK have agreed to offer their support for a fan anthology tribute, hosted by authors Sorin Suciu and Laura May, in memory of Sir Terry Pratchett, who was well known for creating the very famous Discworld series.
The anthology will follow the theme of memory and all proceedings from the sales will go directly to Alzheimer's Research UK.

Interested? Here are the details.

Guidelines
  • Your story should follow the theme of "Memory".
  • Your story needs to be between 3,000 to 8,000 words.
  • The genre is up to you. Fantasy, steampunk, romance, horror, etc - you choose.
  • Your story should preferably be humorous. Add some comedy spice and a sprinkle of laughs, as that was Sir Terry Pratchett's way.

Submission and Deadline

Send approximately 500 words of your submission to:
WeLikeThemShort (at) gmail (dot) com

Along with your first 500 words, you should also send, in the same email:
  • A brief author biology. These are best written in third-person.
  • A short synopsis of the story you are writing (two lines maximum).
The deadline to submit is May 31st.
If your submission is accepted, then you will be contacted to provide the full works before June 30th.

Terry Pratchett, the creator of the famous Discworld series, suffered from Alzheimer's.
He died on the 12th March 2015.

Legal and Payment
  • You will receive no financial payment for your submission. However you will earn yourself some public recognition for your charitable contribution, potentially adding more readers into your fanbase. And you'll be raising money for a good cause.
  • All profits will go to Alzheimer's Research UK.
  • Authors will not be expected to contribute towards any of the publishing costs.
  • Authors will receive a free eBook copy of the anthology. And may purchase four copies at the full cost, including shipping.
  • The costs of final edits and artwork will be covered by the organisers.
  • Final stories must be in a publish-ready state. The organisers may return or dismiss works which do not meet this requirement.
  • Authors will (of course) retain the rights to be recognised for their works.
